Chapter 1-remembering

I will Never Forget that day.It was a sunday,I was in church sitting next to my beautiful wife,Amanda.I remember seeing her holding our new baby daughter.Alessa
I sat there and listening to the sermon.I smiled at Amanda as she smiled back. I remember when the church let out.I was walking Amanda to our car.I looked across the street as there was a crowd.A man yeled all eliegable young Men Step forward please. As I steped up and asked "what is this?" He Asked how old I was and I told him.He Then Handed me a slip of paper.I then Walked back to the car.Amanda sat next to me asked."What is that honey?" I opened the paper.And read it aloud.
"Congradulations you have been selected to serve your country,in War.You will be privelged to fight for Glory,honor,and country.You will report back to your town hall June 12th where you will be taken to training."
"June 12th Honey,thats next week." Amanda Said.my hand trembled as I held the letter as I drove home Amanda and I both rode in silence.I think it was to overwhelming. I had heard of the conflict.and war. recently it had been on all the radio channels.

Chapter 2- Good Bye

A week Went by in no time.I spent all my free time with Amanda. and saved up my money I made from working at the family business and bought her something real nice.Finally the Day Came And Amanda and I drove to the Town hall there was a bus waiting for us.I looked at all the other familys being torn apart by this.
I looked at Amanda,I could see the tears whelling up in her eyes.I could feel them forming in my eyes to.but I didn't want to show it.I wanted to be strong for her.
I slept my hand into my pocket and I pulled out a box out and handed it to her.
she opened it up.It was a necklace,I had it custom made.it was a heart shaped  necklace,on it I had the words Amanda&Justin engraved on it.
I seen Amanda started to cry and she hugged me and Whispered "I love you".
I fought to hold the tears in. A Man dressed in a uniform Yelled." TIME TO GO!"
I Kissed Amanda,She Whispered to me  "You Come Back ok?" she then sliped something into my pocket.I then got in line and boarded the bus.I was the last one on I glared over at Amanda,and she waved. I waved back.AS I saw starting to take my seat the bus started taking off.Amanda started to chase after the bus I ran to the back and leaned out the window. and she stoped...I watched her untill she was completely out of sight.
I sat down on the bus and reached in my pocket to see what she had put it in.
as I looked at it,I began to cry. it was a picture taken of us on our wedding day.and On the back it had written on it."I love you as the night is dark Justin"
it was the very first thing I had said to her.
As I looked around the bus.I didn't see soldiers,I saw workers.townsfolk.
not killers. the guy sitting next to me intorduced himself."Hi I am Bernard."
I introdused my self and quickly became friends with him.We went though training for the next 6 weeks it was hell and when we got out it wasn't about to get anybetter.

Chapter 3 - the sins of man

Only four of us made it though trianing,and I was one of them.I made friends with all the guys.most of them them came from a big family.we were trained,to protect our country,and sever for our people.We were taught to follow orders that we were givin,and how to survive.Everyday I thought of Amanda.and of the shop I ran.I thoght of how my little girl was growing up so fast.Before I knew it,we were being told that we were gonna be seeing combat.
When we did arrive,I was not expecting  to see what what I was seeing,nor did t want to.we were carried to our camp by jeeps. my four friends and I.When  I got out of the jeep,I looked over to see a pile of dead bodys. As The sargent came up to me. and said "you watch your ass or you will end up like them."I soluted him.
we discribled alittle bit about what was going on.what was gonan happen.
I was scared,lonely and afriad.not knowing if this would be my last day.
would I see Amanda again?
At night time I was Given Gurd duty.I walked around.my rifle trembled in my hand.Anytime I heard anything kind of noise I jumped.I wanted to leave.get away
I was there one day and had already seen too much.
before long my shift was over.and I tried to sleep.everytime I closed my eyes I saw Amanda,and I saw the bodies. the next day. we were told to move out early.They said the enemy would be up early looking for us.We hiked all day.searching around trees.fields,plants,bushes,looking for an enemy that could be anywhere.Around 5 oclock we stopped for the day set up camp.B was given duty with me.He and both stayed by eachothers sides.
It Seemed Calm,and then it happened.The Enemy Jumped up in the forest,and started to shoot. I heard the bullets flying by me.B pulled me down.and We Started to fire back.Then I heard Explosions,and mroe gunfire.Our Unit. was awaken by the gunfire and rushed out to help.B Fired back and Yelled " YOU SONS OF BITCHES!"and Tossed a gernade. I heard the explosion.it sent shapnal wissing by my head.a Man Ran up beside me. "YOU MOTHER FUCKERS! " He Screamed and Started to shoot his riffle,and they shot back and hit him. I watched his body fall to the ground.I could barely hear anything. I looked over to see B Crawling towards me "WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE NOW!" we started to crawl  away.I felt this sharp pain.it was hot and burned on the inside. I screamed out in pain.I looked down and noticed that I had been shoot in the leg.I continued to crawl.I must of not been hit that bad because I got up and ran.B and I both Made it back to the camp,and we continued to fight with them.untill finally they retreated. I heard B yell."WE NEED A MEDIC!"
They dressed my wound and talked it over.they then decided I could continue in this hell they called war.

Chapter 4 Unknown Soldier

I wrote Amanda Everyday,I often took her picture out and looked at it when we stopped.I often thought about what I was gonna tell her at night time and wrote it down during the day.and while going to sleep I would think about everything.
Think about Amanda,my papa and I running the family business.our furnature shoppe.My Daughter. about 2 weeks went by and we saw fighting on and off.
we sometimes aided other units.we lost some men.
no one told us what was going on..We just did was we were told.never inform on what was going on.But us four was called for a special mission

One day it was raining and all Hell was gonna break loose."In Posistion" I said to my supior officer,I looked at Bernard standing accross from me,we were hidding behind some bushes about 50 yards from a town."the gates are closed"said Bernard "You got two gaurds walking around on the wall" said projectdarkcom. Project Dark com was a sniper for our unit.He was left his brother and mother behind to serve
"Its Almost planted" Said Andrew,Andrew came from a big poor family.he was a specialist with Explosives.And of course Bernard.He was just one crazy Son of a Bitch.

The Rain continued to pour down,with in a few seconds of standing in the rain,the order was give to Andrew,"Remember we arent to kill him" said the officer that was in command of our force.Andrew Detinated the Explosives.It Blasted the gates wide open,it startled the guys on the wall,Projectdarkcom aimed and with two shoots dropped the soldiers on the wall.We charged at the gates full force I heard Andrew give a Battle Cry! It rang out through the sky,I aimed my gun,and at the first sight of the enemy fired away.I dove down by a wall was gernades started going off.Andew was standing accross from me he smiled at me and with that took off around the corner towards the fighting. the gun fire silenced the screams of the men,the blood covered the ground,the explosived sent a seering heat that burned to the bone,the Fear covered  me like an enemy to which there is no escape.I fired my gun as if Dying right here never crossed my mind.I ran out in the middle and everything just kinda froze like for a minute I got  to look around,and see what was going on in my life and in the lives of  many,I got lost for a minute untill I heard,a familar voice "MOTHER FUCKERS FUCKIN FUCK YOU ALL!" followed by a berage of gun fire.

It was Bernard I know that voice anywhere I went around the cornor and there he was firing and killing four men at point blank. "I am glad your on my side I said as he smiled at me.Thats the way you gotta do it.I teamed up with Bernard as we ran down the street to a big building.we ran inside there was a man and his wife in there,Andrew stood guitar outside while our Commanding officer came in and demanded that the Man told us where his bother was.The Man refused to speak saying"I dont know where my bother was and even if I did I wouldnt tell you.Our Commanding officer backhanded him in the mouth with the butt ofhis gun and chipped his teeth,as he fell to the ground our officer grabbed him by his shirt took a pistol out and held it to his head."Tell us where he is!"  the guy responded "Please just let me go" The Officer said, "I HAVE HAD ENOUGH WITH YOUR BULLSHIT!" and pulled the trigger.It all happened in slow motion to me.I watched the mans corpse fall to the ground.the mans wife cuddled up by her dead love weeping and screaming for him not to leave her. I looked up at the monsterous human in suppise.He looked back,I shoouted at him,"That was wrong!" He looked back at me and said."No thats war. you think your better than me? what do you think you have been doing this whole time?" he questioned. the only question in my life at the time to which I had no answer to.I had been stealing peoples loved ones away.Why what for? was it for protection my country? Or was it for protecting my own Life? "A man came in and said."we found our target guy a few houses down."Out commanding officer said."Good,we got this country by the balls now dont we."
